Wow! What a spectacular afternoon for sailing Thursday November 13th 2009turned out to be!!
The day started cold and wet but Captain Jimmy - facilitator extoardinar -said 'just dont be late'!
I raced from my RE/MAX office up the street grabbled a jacket, changed shoes, in time to join my husband Paul Sames and the 2 groups , Salty Sisters and Broad Reachers from the St Petersburg Yaght Club, gathered around Captain Jimmy for an Informative overview on Sailing, before moving dockside for group photos, then hopped on our host Captain Danny Perez' 51 ft ketch.
Before long the Sunshine and the Wind had caught the sails and the next 2 hrs all who desired got to feel the wheel and the sails back and forth over the bays and its numerous channels. Go Jeanette! yes thats Betty Hurley too at the wheel. I even got to enjoy take a few different shots of some of my property listings from waterside a challenge as the waterline was Not a constant.
I imagined I was sailing on Sydney Harbor for an instant...
